DIY Of The Week: Colorful Wrapped Pencils

Carolyn from Carolyn’s Homework was inspired by colorful, wrapped pencils she came across at Anthropologie and knew she could make them herself. These are a perfect addition to any child’s desk for the new school year!

What you’ll need:

Pencils or Color Pencils
Tissue Paper (the more colorful the better!)
Scissors
Mod Podge or Glue
Colorful Twine/Thread

Directions:

  1. To make these pencils, simply cut a piece of tissue paper about 2 inches longer than your pencil.
  2. Roll the tissue paper around your pencil and adhere with Mod Podge or glue.
  3. Once the Mod Podge has dried, cut the tops into fringe and twist.
